Library and Archives Canada’s Preservation Storage Facility

At the leading edge of archival preservation

We are building a new state-of-the-art preservation facility next to our existing Preservation Centre in Gatineau, Quebec, to meet our requirements for additional archival storage capacity. The new facility will be completed in 2022.

This project is being carried out through a public-private partnership agreement with the Plenary Properties Gatineau (PPG) consortium, which has been chosen to deliver the design and construction of the new preservation facility, to enhance the existing Preservation Centre, and to maintain both facilities for a 30-year period.
