Fonds consists of 26 portraits (13 pairs) and 15 CDs by Jerry Grey from her series Rare Spirits: A Personal Tribute to Vintage Elders. That series is a multimedia project of thirty portraits which celebrates fifteen individuals., There are a total of 26 works available, two images per subject, one in b&w, and the other in colour: Louis Rasminsky (1908-1998), Oscar Bailey, (b. 1927), Jean Coulthard (1908-2000), Camille Dagenais (b. 1920), Edith Iglauer (b. 1917), Joe Plaskett (b. 1918), Beryl Plumptre (1908-2008), Bill Reid (1920-1998), Gordon Robertson (b. 1917), Helen Rogers (b. 1906), Doris Shadbolt (1918-2003) Thomas K. Shoyama (1916-2006) and Irene Mary (Biss) Spry (1907-1998).
The CDs are recordings by most individuals, interviewed by either Jerry Grey or Barbara Laskin, and in French by Christine Estirac-Rateau. There are three master CDs with the combined audio. The first CD contains interviews with Oscar Bailey, Jean Coulthard, Camille Degenais (French) and Edith Iglauer. The second CD contains interviews with Trudi Le Caine, Joe Plaskett, Beryl Plumptre, Louis Rasminsky, Bill Reid and Gordon Robertson. The second CD contains interviews with Helen Rogers, Doris Shadbolt, Thomas Shoyama and Irene Mary (Biss) Spry.

Grey, Jerry, 1940- : Jerry Grey, painter, muralist, photographer, was born in 1940 in Vancouver, British Columbia, and was trained at the Vancouver School of Art (1960-1963) and at the University of Saskatchewan's Emma Lake Artists' Workshop (1964-1966) where she studied under artists Jules Olitski, Lawrence Alloway, and Harold Cohen. She was elected to the Royal Canadian Academy of Art in 1984 and taught at the Banff School of Fine Arts, Emily Carr School of Art, University of Ottawa, Ottawa School of Art and the Avenue Road Art School in Toronto. She produces work in many different media and has been commissioned to create several public art installations. Her work appears in numerous public and private collections.
