Image depicting a log-filled oxen-drawn sleigh heading down a steep hill. A man is seated in the snow before the two beasts and has one foot placed under each of their necks as if to slow them down. This composition strongly resembles that of the item found under accession number R9266-249V., Item is in fairly good condition. The mount has browned around the edges and there is some staining / dirt / spotting on the left side of the watercolour itself. Additionally, something seems to have been torn away from the right side of the secondary support (a hinged matting?)., The verso of the mount seems to have once had another sketch attached to it; Sotheby's list idicates that the removed item in question is watercolour #R9266-250 (Sotheby's inventory no. W313).
