This album, comprised of 29 pages on which 85 photographs are mounted, is devoted exclusively to the settlement of Pangnirtung and the surrounding area. This includes photos of the hospital, R.C.M.P. and Hudson's Bay Company posts, Inuit camps, and many whaling scenes. There is not much caption information provided in this album. Photos mainly by D.L. McKeand (1932, 1934) and L.D. Livingstone (1928, 1929) but also G.P. MacKenzie (1928, 1930), T.J. Orford (1937), Captain Falk (1926), F.C. Sherzer, A.G. McKinnon (1936), Bishop Fleming (1941), R.K. Carnegie (1937), J.D. Craig, R. Tash (1924), L.T. Burwash (1923, 1931), F.D. Henderson (1924), and F.H. Stringer (1927) among others. The McKeand photographs are from his years as officer in charge of Eastern Arctic expeditions. Many of these can also be found in album 19. The Livingstone photographs can also be found in album 13. Photos taken by Bishop A.L. Fleming are during his tour of the Arctic.

This originally was a series level examination of photographs by A.L. Fleming undertaken by Inuit Art Foundation Fellow July Papatsie, November 1995; but this has been revised according to instructions from Jim Burant in July 2003.
