Monitoring the COVID-19 situation

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Library and Archives Canada (LAC)’s top priority has always been the safety and health of its clients and staff.

While all services (including those delivered in person) remain unchanged for the moment, LAC will continue to monitor the pandemic situation closely, and clients should be aware that some adjustments may eventually be required based on directives and advice from public health authorities.

LAC therefore recommends that clients regularly consult its various communications channels for the latest updates on public services. Please note that we will directly contact those who have made a reservation if there is a change to their appointment.

As the situation evolves, you may email reservation@bac-lac.gc.ca to cancel or postpone your in-person appointment, should the need arise.

As always, LAC thanks its clients for their understanding and cooperation as it strives to meet their needs and expectations in this challenging environment. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.
