Library and Archives Canada (LAC) has released a three-year plan outlining its priorities and activities up to 2022. This new plan's reference period will be a critical one for the organization's future, as it forges ahead with its essential digital and technological transformation.
LAC's relationship with its clients is also changing profoundly and at a rapid pace – there is no doubt that their dealings with the institution are evolving into increasingly collaborative and interactive ones. As well, between now and 2022 significant progress is expected on major capital projects such as the construction of a joint facility with the Ottawa Public Library in the heart of the nation's capital, in addition to the building of a second preservation centre in Gatineau.
Based on innovative and enriching consultations with clients, partners, employees and citizens, the three-year plan outlines what LAC intends to accomplish for Canadians in the coming years.
