The Canadian Research Knowledge Network (CRKN), which merged last spring with Canadiana.org, has announced the removal of its subscription fees effective January 1, 2019. LAC applauds this decision that will allow for even greater access to Canadian documentary heritage.
The digitization of the Héritage collection was made possible through a partnership between Library and Archives Canada (LAC) and Canadiana.org that was entered into in 2013. With some 40 million pages of primary-source documents, this collection reveals much about the nation's story and that of its people, from the 1600s to the mid-1900s.
