Major revision to Library and Archives Canada’s government records disposition program webpages

Great news! As disposition authorizations have changed significantly since 2014, we have just completed a major revision to our government records disposition program webpages.

What has changed?

• New terminology
• An updated Frequently Asked Questions page 
• A new history of LAC’s macroappraisal methodology page
• A new Multi-Institution Disposition Authorizations (MIDAs) page that explains changes made to these types of disposition authorizations since 2014
• The Operational Standard for the Use of Disposition Authorizations, the Disposition Authorization for Transitory Records (DA 2016/001), and the Generic Application Guide for the Disposition Authorization for Transitory Records (DA 2016/001) are all now available outside our Disposition and Recordkeeping Portal
