Accession consists of records created and/or maintained by various offices at CN. Some records came from the office of Michael J. Sabia's, Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer of CN from 1993 to 1999. The files were created during the preparation of commercialization and include various subjects, issues and other materials as they relate to privatization.
Some files relate to the CN-owned Hotel Scribe located in Paris, France.
Some files are from CN's central registry system and document the incorporation of AMF Technotransport Inc.
Some files consist of central registry records that include taxation-related files on CN commercialization.

These records came from the Service Centre at Montreal. In 2007 CN communicated with LAC to offer records that were ready for destruction. Two archivists went to the site to select boxes of archival material. They chose 18 boxes, but after consultation at LAC, 3 boxes were selected for destruction as they contained no archival material.
