    The sub-series consists of the personal and family records of the Poy family, originating from both Adrienne (Poy) Clarkson and her father, William George Poy. The records relate to Clarkson's paternal grandparents, William and Louisa Poy; her father, William George Poy; her mother, Ethel (Lam) Poy; her uncle, Roy Poy; her aunt, Julia (Lam); and her brother, Neville Poy, and his wife Vivienne (Lee) Poy. The sub-series consists of: correspondence; certificates of marriage, death, citizenship and recognition; family legal documents; Poy family history documents; family correspondence; family photographs; programs and invitations for the celebration of Mr. Poy's 80th and 90th birthdays; condolences on the death of Mr. Poy and Mrs. Poy and Adrienne Clarkson's outgoing responses; funeral programs; speeches; guest books; obituaries; legal and financial records relating to the estates of Mr. and Mrs. Poy; and books. The sub-series contain: Mr. Poy's personal correspondence; his identification documents, including passports; membership records; financial records, including an account book and investment and income tax documents; a copy of his last will and testament; clippings; education records from the University of Ottawa (1943-1945), including his master's thesis, "China as an Import Market", and his unpublished manuscript "Bushido", written in 1943. The sub-series includes records documenting Mr. Poy's years as a horse jockey in Hong Kong between 1936 and 1942, and his service in the Royal Hong Kong Volunteer Defence Corps during the Second World War before fleeing for Canada with his family in 1942.
