Please join us in launching Library and Archives Canada (LAC)’s new exhibition Canada: Who Do We Think We Are? to mark the 150th anniversary of Confederation. The event is on June 5th, 2017, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at 395 Wellington, Ottawa.
The year-long exhibition highlights Canada’s rich documentary heritage and features many priceless treasures preserved for Canadians and generations to come. Canada: Who Do We Think We Are? showcases moments of Canada’s past that will be surprising, even shocking, to modern Canadians. It explores different ideas about Canada and about being Canadian, looking beyond our country’s 150 years as a Confederation to earlier periods when figures like Samuel de Champlain were exploring the potential of the country.
