This map is a transcript copy of the original 1875 map. It depicts the parish of St. Anne, to the southeast of present-day Winnipeg. It shows dimensions and acreage of lots, land under cultivation, woodlands, prairie and meadowlands. As is typical of Métis settlements, the land is divided into long and narrow river lots. The Roman Catholic parish of Ste. Anne, also known as Sainte-Anne-des-Chênes, was established along the Rivière Seine in the 1850s.
