    Series consists of letters written to Macdonald and arranged in chronological order. The letters were written by a wide variety of people, covering numerous and varied topics. The letters in this series were the remaindered letters after Sir Joseph Pope arranged the political papers into the Subject files series and Correspondence files series. Item level descriptions of the correspondence in the General letters series is available on microfilm or through the Prime Minister's CD-Rom.
