    Fonds consists of twenty-nine letters exchanged between Ellsworth Mason and A.M. Klein concerning literary criticism on James Joyce; and an issue of Here and Now, with an article by A.M. Klein on Joyce entitled "The Oxen of the Sun", 1949.

    Mason, Ellsworth Goodwin, 1917-: Ellsworth Goodwin Mason taught at William College, U.S.A., 1948-1950, after obtaining a doctorate in English in 1948. He subsequently worked as a librarian at various universities, including Colorado College and made frequent appearances as a visiting lecturer. He has edited or co-edited such works of James Joyce as The Critical writings of James Joyce, 1959, and he has provided translations and critical commentary on the subject.
