    Fonds consists of records which document the personal life and writing career of Sharon Abron Drache, and reflects her active involvement in the Jewish literary community in Canada, 1965-1994. The fonds is arranged in the following series: Correspondence; Correspondence - Additional; Subject Files; Viewpoints Files; Notebooks/Journals; Literary Manuscripts - Novels and Collected Stories; Other Manuscripts; Manuscripts by Others; Legal Papers. The fonds also contains photographs consisting of snapshots and formal portraits of Canadian authors, n.d.
    Biography/Administrative history:
    Drache, Sharon, 1943-: Sharon Abron Drache was born in 1943 in Toronto and was raised and educated in Toronto, Miami Beach and Ottawa. She received an Arts degree and graduate diploma in Child Studies from the University of Toronto in 1965 and 1966, respectively. She has published three books of adult fiction: The Mikveh Man (Aya Press 1984), Ritual Slaughter (Quarry Press 1989), and The Golden Ghetto (Beach Holme 1993). She has also published two books for children: The Magic Pot (L'Dor Vador Publications 2003) a picture book, and The Lubavitchers Are Coming to Second Avenue (L'Dor Vador Publications 2006), a chapter book. As a literary journalist she has written book reviews and feature articles for national and local newspapers including The Globe and Mail, Ottawa Citizen, Books in Canada, the Canadian Jewish News, the Glebe Report and the Ottawa Jewish Bulletin. A special edition of the periodical Jewish Dialog was devoted to her work in April 1983. Sharon Abron Drache lives and writes in Toronto.
