    This collection is comprised of posters encompassing advertising from both federal, provincial and municipal governments; private companies; private collectors; designers; and from other sources. Included are posters from Canada Post; Health Canada; the Organizing Committee for the XXI Olympiad in Montreal (1976 Olympics); Public Archives of Canada; National Library of Canada, Bank of Canada (Canada Savings Bonds) and other federal government departments and agencies; First and Second World War propaganda posters; British Columbia Department of Tourism; Ontario College of Art; University of Toronto; Imperial Order of the Daughters of the Empire; Andrew Merrilees; designers Guy Lalumière, Vittorio Fiorucci, Rollande Goudreault, Denis Ducharme, and Couthuran Inc.; foreign travel and film posters; posters for sporting events and cultural events such as festivals and theatrical performances; and various early Canadian broadsides and posters, such as a William Lyon Mackenzie proclamation; a Simcoe, Ontario farm sale; two posters for John McCrae's In Flanders Fields; a poster for a Chinese hand laundry; and circus posters.
