We are pleased to present the latest additions to our collection.
We have acquired a publication entitled Usages autochtones des plantes médicinales du Québec, Les fleurs (vol. 4) by Isabelle Kun-Nipiu Falardeau. The main difference between this book and others on the same topic is the sharing of practical rather than theoretical knowledge. The author demonstrates how to make remedies, explains traditional methods, and offers the teachings of the elders who kindly passed on their ancestral knowledge.
We have also acquired the archival Fonds of Denys Arcand. Film director from the Quebec province, screenwriter, actor and producer, Denys Arcand received global recognition for two very successful films: The Decline of the American Empire and The Barbarian Invasions.
Also available for consultation is a fire insurance plan depicting the northeast corner of Yonge Street and Bloor Street, Toronto, Ontario, in 1904. These types of plans were initially printed to help insurance companies evaluate buildings. Today, they show how much cities have changed over time.

The next edition will be released in the fall.
