What’s new in the collection: the 2019 winter edition is out!

We are pleased to present a few of our recent acquisitions!

Philip Bergerson is a Canadian photographer who has achieved both national and international success for his work. You may have seen his photos at the National Gallery of Canada in Ottawa. We now have archival holdings that document his professional career and include his personal archives of 2.25-inch colour negatives, as well as a large selection of exhibition prints.

Materials in the Victor Pilon fonds, one of our country’s greatest multidisciplinary creators, are also now available for consultation. This fonds documents the phenomenon of urban murals in Canada through a selection of 30 photographs from the project “La voix des murs” [The Voice of Walls]. The images feature a number of cities including Montréal, Ottawa, Toronto, Halifax and Vancouver.

The transition to our new library system Aurora is well underway. Due to its implementation, we must postpone updating the list of our newly acquired published titles. We look forward to highlighting the newest published items in our collection in the spring edition.

See the What’s new in the collection section of our website for more information.

Happy discoveries!
