Just over a week ago, hundreds gathered to meet the architects who are designing the facility that will jointly house Library and Archives Canada and Ottawa Public Library. In addition to presenting some ideas, the architects wanted above all to hear the views and suggestions of those attending. For more information, please read the news release.
It is now time for all Canadians to make their voices heard on the design of this facility; in addition to bringing together the wealth of two major knowledge institutions, the building is destined to become a must-see attraction in the national capital. Organizations and people interested in our collections, projects, events and services are invited to participate in the online discussions.
The first of four online consultations aimed at inspiring our architects will take place until March 24 on the inspire555.ca website.
