Hockey: transaction between LAC and the Canadian Museum of History!

Library and Archives Canada (LAC) is partnering with the Canadian Museum of History for the "Hockey" exhibition, which will take place from March 10 to October 9, 2017.

LAC has scoured its archives to provide books, hockey cards and photographs that will be added to the hundreds of other artefacts on display, including one of legendary goalie Jacques Plante's masks.

The items on loan from LAC include hockey cards that predate the creation of the National Hockey League and that feature, among others, former Montreal Canadiens stars like Newsy Lalonde and Odie Cleghorn. Visitors will also be able to see books by Ken Dryden and sports journalist Luc Gélinas, as well as a Spider Man comic book in which our national sport serves as a backdrop.

For more information on this exhibition, consult the Canadian Museum of History website.
