- Produced by the Ottawa Ciné Club during World War Two THE TIE THAT BINDS is a story of the Canadian Red Cross voluntary blood donor service. Mrs. L.R. Gisborne RN at the Ottawa Blood Donor Service, examination, medical, haemoglobin check, donation department, Lion's Club, blood donor clinic. A corporal of the South Saskatchewan Regiment, wounded in Dieppe, is given a transfusion which saves his life and returns to Canada to meet the girl who donated the blood. <19mn 30s>
