Free Public Event: “Historical Fictions and the Art of Literary Translation: Tales from the Old, Strange Canada”

In partnership with Library and Archives Canada, the Canada Council for the Arts invites you to a celebration of literature and translation with former winners of the Governor General’s Literary Award Daniel Poliquin and Douglas Glover, in conversation with writer and translator Madeleine Stratford. This public discussion will be in English, with simultaneous translation, and will be followed by a bilingual question-and-answer period and a reception/book-signing session. Admission is free.

This event is presented by the Canada Council for the Arts, in partnership with Library and Archives Canada, and in collaboration with the Ottawa International Writers Festival and the Public Lending Right Commission.
