Alain Stanké fonds
This fond comprises several textual, graphic and audiovisual documents associated with the life and career of Canadian journalist, host, publisher, writer, documentary maker and sculptor Alain Stanké, who is originally from Lithuania. There are thousands of photos of print and television media reports and hundreds of photos of Canadian and international personalities. Several documents are associated with the flagship television show "Les insolences d’une caméra" that Stanké began hosting in 1961.
Sir Byron Edmund Walker [single item]
The sitter, Sir Byron Edmund Walker, was an influential banker and philanthropist. He was also a noted art collector and scholar. The portrait was painted by John Colin Forbes, who is remembered for his representations of influential Canadians.
Tomson Highway fonds
The fonds of Cree author and playwright Tomson Highway contains manuscripts and typescripts of his plays, his award-winning novel Kiss of the Fur Queen, his fiction and short-story writing, his musical cabarets, his children’s literature work, his screenplays, as well as personal material, correspondence, various audiovisual recordings, awards and honours, promotional material, and business records.
William Kuzyk fonds
The accrual consists of additional technical reports relating to the Avro Arrow, maps relating to the DEW Line, and reports and drawings relating to versions of the experimental Avro-Car (variously known as Cincindelle III and CBY-6P), A.V. Roe's vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) aircraft. Also of interest are photographs of the first Canadian satellite.
