    Series is of primary importance for its report and testimony files from the 1949 Naval Inquiry, otherwise known as the Mainguy Report. The series also documents Audette's work on the Court Martial Appeal Board (1951-59), and his involvement with the Canadian Battle of Normandy Foundation (1991-1993). Correspondence files recount wartime experiences, military history scholarship, and the controversy surrounding the Mainguy Commission.
