Fonds consists of accounts, correspondence clippings, lists of subscribers, printed matter and reports concerning the Quebec Battlefields Association, the Quebec Tercentenary and the National Battlefields Commission, 1904-1910. The fonds also contains a photograph of a visit of H.R.H. the Prince of Wales to St. Joachim, Que.; and a portrait of the Hon. S.N. Parent, 1908.

Quebec Battlefields Association : The National Battlefields Commission was set up by Act of Parliament (7-8 Edw. VII, Cap. 57) in March 1908. Its main responsibility was "to acquire and preserve the great historic battlefields at Quebec", and at the same time to arrange for the celebrations marking the Quebec Tercentenary. In addition, the "Dominion Central Committee Quebec Battlefields Association" was organized in Ottawa to raise funds for use by the National Battlefields Commission at the request of the Governor General, Earl Grey, through whose efforts the plan for the acquisition and preservation of the battlefields was adopted.
